2025 brought major game releases across all platforms alongside notable delays like GTA 6 moving to November 2026. The year saw blockbuster sequels, indie titles, and new IPs competing for recognition.

The Game Awards is an annual global ceremony that honors excellence in the video game industry, presented by Geoff Keighley. Each year, over a hundred games receive nominations across multiple categories, competing for recognition in areas ranging from Game of the Year to Best Art Direction, Audio Design, and Performance.

The ceremony has become one of gaming’s biggest events, combining awards recognition with major game announcements and world premieres. Developers, publishers, and players worldwide watch to see which titles receive industry validation for their creative and technical achievements.

In this article, we’ll explore all nominated games across different categories and reveal the winners who took home awards at the 2025 ceremony.

    All Winners by Category

The 2025 Game Awards featured 30 categories, including the Players’ Voice award. Each category had at least four nominations competing for recognition across different aspects of game development and design.

Winners were determined through a combined voting process. Industry professionals, media outlets, and critics contributed 90% of the final vote, while public voting through the Game Awards website accounted for the remaining 10%.
